Manage prequalification process, review and verify agreements with support from Legal Department, develop vendors lists and vendors’ database
Identify opportunities and lead efforts for cost reduction and increased efficiencies
Identify and plan delivery timetables
Monitor supplier performance to ensure targets are met and identify ways to improve the supply chain process with suppliers
Provide technical advice on specifications supply and logistics arrangements to facilitate efficient procurement, clearance, storage and distribution of supplies and equipment, services and works to be delivered.
Assess supply operations and control mechanisms and advise on appropriate actions • Work with the Procurement Department and other Sectors and Departments, as required.
Ensure preparation of supply status reports required for budget reviews, program analysis, annual reports, or other reports as may be required.
Qualifications & Experience
Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Business, Commerce or similar
Relevant professional qualification i.e. CIPS status or equivalent procurement, project management professional qualification
Minimum 8 years of experience in procurement for major international infrastructure projects and railways Experience working in Middle East beneficial
Experience with planning, forecasting
Knowledge of procurement concepts, processes, activities and trends
Experience of developing contracts and relationship management with vendors
Experience working with FIDIC or similar suite of contracts
Experience of procurement and contracting
Experience with basic contracting principles and practices such as tendering, subcontracting, outsourcing management
Experience in drafting contract documents across various stages of the project lifecycle (e.g. SOW, Charter, progress reports, Gantt charts, etc.)
Experience of infrastructure large capital projects, preferable
